two weeks in...

i cant believe two weeks have already passed by. i dont want to go on to my next assignment next Saturday...i think im having a love affair with venezia. i hate the heat, but i love the view.

if venezia was a woman, you would love her too. she is strong, and aging gracefully. full of art and mystery, and not stuck up under her prim and proper veil. she is unpredictable and full of life. i can see the people coming to woo her, bringing their best efforts forth, but going home with only the memories of her beauty. she seems to be a muse that i must not listen to, but rather to bind myself to america and admire her from afar.

i thought i would be mad if i dont get to go to a lot of other cities in italy. i came this far after all. instead, i am so satisfied with what venezia has to offer, that i cant imagine wanting to go anywhere else.
