against flesh and blood

the battle we are fighting is not one of flesh and blood, and this was certainly evident on the bus yesterday.

kaeli, rebekah, carmen, anne and myself were all sitting on the bus on the way home chatting among ourselves, and making sure not to smile or make eye contact with any of the men on the bus. there was a strange man in front of us with two large bags with wild gray hair under a hat. he looked like he could be homeless, but i didnt give him much thought.

at one point he put his bags down and came right up to kaeli and i and started yelling. YELLING. this is what he said : oohh...you speak english ( this was all very garbled and hard to understand) well, i am not the body of jesus christ, i am a human being! we are human beings, we are not (we think the word here was isreal) and he kept yelling something about not being jesus christ. we realized quickly that he was not of his right mind. carmen had seen him plugging his ears earlier, and shaking his head, as if he was refusing to listen to someone talking to him. im pretty sure he was either tormented by a demon, or schizofrenic (sp?) and i think that the demon had identified that my team is a force to be reckoned with, that is fighting for the Lord. it was very scary, and reminisent of a bible story about a girl yelling at paul and silas that we had just studied this weekend.

pray for our team!
