ok, so

today the bureacracy (sp?) here is insane. it takes hours of waiting in line to get anything done, and strangers have no problem scolding strangers in public. very strange. bikes are not associated with jocks, or with poverty. EVERYONE rides their bikes. spike heels, little dogs, groceries, cell phones, all on bikes. and motor bikes...i rode one with an attractive brazilian-italian man. whooho! haha. it was great.
